Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't written anything in a while. School was crazy and then the beginning of summer had me running all over the place.
I will try and add some new topics to my blog, one I already have in mind, by the end of the month.
Have a great summer! :)

The Hunger Games Movie

I saw The Hunger Games movie two weekends ago. Let me just say, that was THE best book - to - movie adaptation I had ever seen! The cast was impeccable and the scenery was great! Not to mention that they stuck to the story line pretty well and added a few things to enhance the experience. The only flaw was that in certain scenes the camera was shaking way too much and I couldn't tell what was happening, it just gave me a headache.

Jennifer Lawrence, who played Katniss Everdeen, deserves to win all kinds of awards for her acting in this movie! She was so intense and played the role beautifully! They could not have chosen anyone better to play Katniss.

The other characters were really good too. I loved Wes Bentley as Seneca Crane! His beard was amazing!

Overall I was extremely happy with the turn out. Apparently millions of other people were too, the opening weekend grossed $ 152,535,747. It came in 3rd place, after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and The Dark Night.

It has Begun!

Hey everyone! So two Saturdays ago members of Korra Nation were able to view the first TWO episodes of the new series, Legend of Korra
I was a bit apprehensive towards some of the settings and characters at first, but now I LOVE IT!!!
I don't want to give away anything, but for all the Avatar: The Last Airbender fans out there, I can assure that you will not be disappointed!
There were only a few things that I noticed, and its mainly just speculation on my part. I'm not sure how many seasons this new show will be, but my guess is that it was originally made to be a single season but then they went back and decided to make it multiple seasons. If this is true then they overlooked a few things in editing. There were some scenes where everything seemed to be happening really fast, like it was going to be over in just 1 season, but there were also hints that it will be more than 1 season.
As to the characters, I loved them all! There are a few old characters and some new ones that are descendants of the old ones. It's really exciting! I really love the new characters, especially Bolin, becuase they all make me laugh, even without meaning to.
There is 1 spot where the characters make reference to an old issue from the first Avatar series and we still don't see what truly happened then. Hopefully this new series will reveal many things that were kept secret in The Last Airbender.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the new series and I highly recommend it! I can't wait for all the new episodes!

More on The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games CD is now available! I'm so excited to get it! I was able to preview the songs on iTunes and I love them!
I'm eager to see how they use the songs that they chose in the movie because I personally thought it would be more orchestral type of music but its just a lot of different songs.
They really surprised me with the artists that sing the songs. Some of them were really unexpected, like Maroon 5.
I recommend that everyone buys it, it is a bit emotional but it is awesome.

The Legend of Korra

So I recently found out that The Legend of Korra, the sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender, is due to premier on Saturday, April 14th. I am so EXTREMELY excited to see it! I loved Avatar: The Last Airbender so I'm eager to see how this new show continues the Avatar cycle.

We will also get to meet the children and grandchildren of the original characters! I think that there will often be times where Korra requires Aang's help, like Aang required Roku's help, so that should be interesting because their personalities are very different from what I have seen.

On the left is Aang's granddaughter Ikki
